Weight Lifting Schedule changes for this week!

No lifting on Friday morning! Weight lifting has been moved to Thursday morning from 7-9AM.

Message from Coach Clancy:
Follows is the weight room schedule for the next two weeks (July 30-August 12). The two biggest changes are the reduction in hours on Tuesday, and the switch from Friday to Thursday for field hockey, volleyball, soccer and tennis.

I am holding a speed/agility clinic on Tuesday from 5-6 pm. All athletes are welcome.

Please let your athletes know of these changes. Signs are posted in the weight room, but I want to ensure all athletes are aware.

The weight room will also be closed due to my vacation from August 6-10.

Wadsworth Team Tournament Update

They have so graciously put us on for the second or third game, so we need to leave by 6:45AM. We will not ref or play the first game. Once we get the pool assignments we will have a better idea of when we will be home. If your parents plan to attend the tournament, you may ride home with them. Please let us know when we get up there! Thanks!

Wadsworth Team Tournament

This Friday, July 20 we will be attending the Wadsworth Team Tournament. So far, I have the following signed up to attend...

1. Alex R.
2. Alyssa S.
3. Allie R.
4. Natalie S.
5. Alex N.
6. Molly B.
7. Melissa V.
8. Chyna J.
9. Megan A.
10. Sarah K.
11. Ari T.

Mrs. Belcher has already cut a check to Wadsworth for the tournament registration fee, so please make your checks payable to the Columbus Academy for $8.50 ASAP. The checks can be turned in to Mrs. Belcher in the athletic office. If she is not there, please put the check in the volleyball mailbox, or give it to me at Open Gym. Thank you!

I am still waiting to hear back about the start time of the tournament, but for now plan to be at the school at 6:45 AM. I know, I know, very early! If your parents plan to attend, directions can be found on Mapquest.com. We will be playing at Wadsworth High School. Please bring a white shirt, and a colored shirt for the tournament. Also, any food or drink you may need throughout the day would be good to bring. I will update you with more details as soon as I receive them!

FYI: Mud Volleyball Tournament Opening sent by Alyssa Leonard's Mom

Rich has put together a team to play at a charity mud volleyball tournament
next Saturday, 7/21.

Unfortunately he just lost a player and without another woman (ideally TWO)
they'll have to pull out. The tournament is at Beulah Park. Pool play
begins @9:30 to obtain rank and after lunch they have tiered games.

Alyssa is 14 and will be playing also, so focused teens are welcome.

If you (or anyone you know, please forward this along) are interested in
having a very messy but fun day at Beulah Park, please email him at
rleonard128@gmail.com and he will send you more details.

Thanks!

Marideth

The information about the tournament is as follows...

Location: River View HS & JH Directions: River View is approximately an hour and 15 minutes from Gahanna. Best way to come is on Route 16 and then take SR 60 in Warsaw. In Warsaw turn right and travel about 3 miles to the school (it is on a sharp curve).

Format: 3 pools of 4 teams each. (each team is guaranteed 4 matches)

up before your first match of the day (5 and 5), and a 6 minute warm-up (3 and 3) before all other matches.
